Late Post: Mother’s Day Cards & Chocolates

Team Kea created Mother’s Day cards and Personalised Chocolates using Canva!

For the cards, Mrs Fonua created a template for us to use. We learnt about ‘Elements’ button where we used colours, pictures and graphics to add to our frames. We used a template to create our personalised chocolates too.

Here are our completed cards and chocolates.

Self Portrait – Art

This is a throwback to photos where we had made our creative self-portraits. It was a whole process but the results are immaculate. Mrs Fonua used a stencil maker to turn our portraits into line art and then it was placed into a laminating pouch where we had to outline the details of our faces and shade what needed to be shaded.

Then we dyed the actual face colour of our choice and used the house colours as our backing paper.

Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu

Today we looked at our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu buddies. We were unsure of where they were located. We searched Roscommon School on Google and found them using Google Maps. We learnt that it would take 33 minutes to travel from Glen Taylor School to Roscommon School (dependent on traffic).

We went onto Room 16’s class blogs and read about their celebration for Green Day. We were interested in this celebration and left a positive comment on their blog.

We also went into Room 15’s class blog and it was good to see images of you guys and learn a little about you guys.

Kawa of Care Champions

Today Mr Goodwin taught us about the Kawa of Care agreement. Following the Kawa of Care helps us to use and look after our chromebooks in the right way.

Have you tried the Kawa of Care Quest? You can try it here!

We did it as a class and made it all the way to the end!
